Forms and Deadlines:

Enzyme Substrate

  • Now is the time to start thinking about potentially signing up to be an Enzyme for the New Member class! This is a great way to get to know and pour into some of the New Members and get a Substrate! If you would like to sign up to be an enzyme, please fill out this form by September 25th 11:59pm! All participants will earn one social credit!

  • Signing up to be an enzyme requires attendance at Speed Dating (9/26 7:30-9:00 in BSB A236) and at the 5th New Member Meeting (10/10 8:00ish in BSB A236) for the reveal! You will also need to go on 2 enzyme/substrate hangouts independently during the matching process. 

First-in-Line Welcome Mixer

  • The FIL Welcome Mixer is on September 26th, from 5-7pm. If you would like to help table at this email, please contact Srikhar (Srikhar_Chilukuri1@baylor.edu) with your availability. This is a great event for our members to connect with other first-gen students, meet with Mrs. Calvillo, and find out more about resources that are uniquely available to them!

Andy’s Profit Share!!!

We will be hosting a fundraiser ALL DAY at Andy’s on 9/29! Bring friends and make sure to show the cashier the attached flyer so the proceeds go to the correct place! This profit share will assist AED in having amazing events! If you have questions, please email danielle_colapietro1@baylor.edu

Skate-A-Date

  • Our take-a-date event this semester will be held at Skate Waco on Thursday 9/29 from 7-9pm with Christian Pre-Health Fellowship. Feel free to bring a date or a friend! They do not have to be an AED member to attend. The price is only $7 with a valid ID and a student ID. Please fill out this form if you are planning on attending! All attendees will earn one social credit

Crafts & Coffee Social

  • We are having a crafts & coffee social on Sunday 10/2 from 11-1pm at the Common Grounds on 8th St. Feel free to stop by to make a friendship bracelet, grab coffee, or study with other AED members! Members who check in with Bella at Common Grounds will receive one social credit

Ironman Waco LSE 

  • Full-distance and half-distance triathlon races will take place in Waco on 10/15 and 10/16. This competition is a fantastic world-class race, and it would be great to have AED volunteers there. Volunteers are needed in different areas, including medical tents and gear bag drops. If you’re interested, please do the following: 

  • You will be contacted by the organization as the event approaches with more details! 

Transformation Waco Afterschool

  • If someone is interested in extra service/job opportunities, Transformation Waco Afterschool is still looking for math coaches for J.H. Hines Elementary.

  • Slots available:

    • Tuesdays - 3:30 to 5:15 - 2 slots open

    • Wednesdays - 3:30 - 5:15 - 1 slot open

    • Fridays - 3:30 - 5:15 - 2 slots open
