Scribing
Working as a medical scribe is a great way to obtain real clinical exposure, as scribes are responsible for taking shorthand notes in the examination room with a medical provider. Scribing is a paid job, and most opportunities through places like ProScribe require a time commitment of about 16 hours a week for at least 5-6 consecutive months. Scribing jobs are available in most cities, and the process for applying is the same. If interested, click the link below and follow the instructions on the website. Once your application is accepted, you can begin scribing after a one month paid training process. If the school year is too busy, working as a scribe over the summer or during a gap year is also a great option.
