WONDERING HOW TO REMAIN AN ACTIVE MEMBER?

Active Member Requirements

At the beginning of every semester, make sure to fill out the general membership form by the 2nd general meeting to let us know you are planning to be active this semester!

  • Attend 4 out of 6 general meetings.

  • Attend at least 3 social events, one of which must be a new member event.

  • Be consistently involved (10 hours each semester) in at least one weekly service activity through AED (unless outside service is approved by Executive Board).

  • Participate in 3 large service events (1 may be pay-for-credit).

  • Complete at least 2 scholarship credits.

  • Pay $25 in dues by the 3rd general meeting, $35 for late dues.

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5.

  • Maintain a BCPM (biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, math) GPA of 3.5.

  • Enroll in at least 12 hours each semester

  • Scholarship Credits will be offered for global health events, networking events, and Pre-Health Symposium. Two scholarship credits are required and additional credits can be used once in three ways: a general member meeting absence, social credit, or 1 weekly service credits. Multiple scholarship credits cannot count towards one category. The executive board will assign the credits accordingly, so you do not need to specify which category they will go towards.

Failure to complete these requirements will result in an inactive semester.

NEW: ALL members will need to be an enzyme at least one semester prior to graduation in order to receive an AED graduation cord.
