Mark your calendars for Pre-Health Symposium this year, which will be on February 17, 2024!
The Pre-Health Symposium (PHS) is the largest annual health professional event offered at Baylor University. Hosted by Alpha Epsilon Delta and the Pre-Health Studies Office, PHS provides several opportunities for pre-health students to meet representatives from different institutions and learn about what they look for in prospective students. Representatives will have the opportunity to host a booth and/or breakout session that allows students to ask questions and make connections with each school. Students will also be able to attend individual lectures led by the representatives to hear more information about each institution. We are also excited to announce that this event will be attended by members from other AED chapters in Texas, making this year’s event also a regional Pre-Health Symposium.
This year, PHS will include schools from across the country in an in-person format. This will allow students to hear from many institutions in a unique and engaging manner!
If you have any questions, please reach out to our VP of Scholarly Events, Salvador Medrano, at Salvador_Medrano1@baylor.edu
The 51st Annual Pre-Health Symposium will be held on February 17, 2024 in person (at the Paul L. Foster Campus, Room 250).

Who can attend?
All Baylor students are welcome to participate in this great experience, but our AED members have a special opportunity to host these professional schools. Hosting a school offers the unique chance to form connections with administrative staff and current students of the professional schools and ask questions in a one-on-one setting.

What is new for this year’s event?
AED is excited to expand our Pre-Health Symposium to include professional schools from out of state to help our attending students see a wider range of potential future schools. A large portion of our Baylor students are from out of state and AED wants to help cater to these students and their future aspirations.

Want to host a school?
Current Baylor pre-health students have the opportunity to serve as host to a visiting school’s representatives during the entirety of Pre-Health Symposium. At in-person events, hosts guide their representatives to their tables and breakout sessions as well as aid them with anything they need. Students will also have the opportunity to talk with the representatives in more depth about their school.
Any pre-health student may sign up to host but priority will be given to AED members.
