Important Membership Updates!
From the Spring 2025 semester on, AED will now be requiring all general members to complete two scholarship credits. All other general member requirements will remain the same. With a variety of events and opportunities available, we hope that this new requirement aims will enhance member engagement and support the continued growth and success of the organization. Forms and Deadlines:
Weekly Service Preference Form is due Monday, January 27th at 11:59PM. Read the service section of the weekly email BEFORE filling out this form.
Interest Tabling Form: Sign up to table for AED Recruitment on 1/28-1/29 from 11:00-4:00pm!

General Meeting Dates:
Our general meetings will be from 7:30-8:30 pm on 2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/26, 4/9, and 4/23. The GM 1 on 2/5 will be in FOSTER 240 (NEW LOCATION!). The rest of the locations are TBD and will be announced in February. Go ahead and plan on putting those on your calendar so you can meet the GM requirement. Please email Mariele (mariele_patungan1@baylor.edu) if you cannot attend one or all of these GM dates at least two weeks in advance. We will only provide GM exemptions to those with classes or exams.

AED Interest Tabling Form: Please use the spreadsheet linked to sign up for the first week of school tabling! It will be on January 28th and 29th, from 11:00-4:00pm at the SUB and Hallie Earle Hall!
You can receive 1 scholarship credit by signing up for two 30-minute shifts (and a maximum of one scholarship credit in total).
NM Interview Signup Form: Please use the spreadsheet linked to sign up for interviews! Interviews will be held on February 5th, 4:00-7:00pm and February 6th, 5:00-8:00pm!
You can receive 1 scholarship credit by signing up for four slots or one check-in slot (and a maximum of one scholarship credit in total).
The 52nd Annual Pre-Health Symposium will be on February 15th at the Mark & Paula Hurd Center from 9:45 AM to 1:45 PM. Over 40 professional schools (medical, dental. OT, PT, and more!) are attending from across the country so be sure to come and converse with the institutions’ representatives about their programs and admission processes.
More information regarding host sign-ups will go out in the following weeks.

Weekly Service Form and Updates
It’s time to fill out the signup sheet with your two top choices for weekly service! Check out the weekly service informational video for details on the different weekly service opportunities AED offers!

The signup form will close Monday, January 27th at 11:59 PM. Please fill this out if you plan on being active this semester.
To remain active: Members will need to serve 10 hours at their respective volunteer site. Please reach out to Lexi (lexi_haviland1@baylor.edu) with any questions! Once everyone fills it out, the service chairs will reach out to the members in their respective service sites before the end of the week!
Liana has contacted all applicants of Waco Family Medicine. If you are volunteering with WFM, you do not need to fill out the Weekly Service Signup Form. If you are a new member, please make sure to respond to her email regarding your size for an AED polo. For all members, please make sure that you are keeping up to date with your email and completing orientation steps so that Liana can put you on the schedule. The first week of volunteering is February 3rd.
If you applied to Ascension Providence or are a returning volunteer, please email Hana_Jang1@baylor.edu. Applications for Ascension close on February 3rd, so you can still apply. Please refer to the email Lexi sent on January 14th for a step-by-step on how to apply. If you are volunteering with Ascension, you do not need to fill out the Weekly Service Signup Form.
If you are interested/a returning volunteer in Mission Waco’s Health Clinic, please reach out to Tyler_Tuisl1@baylor.edu ASAP as there are only 12 spots. If you are volunteering at Mission Waco’s Health Clinic, you do not need to fill out the Weekly Service Signup Form.
If you are concerned about a weekly service time commitment, car/carpool situation, or you are already involved in valuable service that you are passionate about, please reach out to Lexi at Lexi_Haviland1@baylor.edu.

AED requires general members to attend 3 Large Service Events each semester! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Lexi (lexi_haviland1@baylor.edu).

Brahmi (brahmi_prayaga1@baylor.edu) is hosting an LSE at The Salvation Army on Saturday, February 1st from 9:30-11:30AM. Volunteers will be sorting donations and restocking to assist the staff. Here is the LINK to sign-up if you are planning on going! Both Brahmi and Lexi are able to provide rides to anyone who needs it.

Semester Dues are $25 and must be paid by GM #3 (3/5)!
Dues will be raised to $35 after GM #3

Please do not mark your dues as a service as it charges AED.
