New Member Induction

  • Induction will be held in Foster Auditorium (Foster 240) this Tuesday 10/11 from 7pm-8pm. 

  • If you have not already gotten your NM event credit for the semester, this is your LAST CHANCE to do so. This is a new mandatory credit this semester, it is not optional so please attend this if you haven’t attended a previous NM event.

  • Dress attire is business professional! Please arrive a few minutes early so as to not interrupt the ceremony. 

BMSA X MSO x AED Kaplan MCAT Specialist Talk

  • Join your peers in other Baylor Pre-Health Organizations and hear from a certified Kaplan MCAT expert this Wednesday, October 12th, 4-5pm in the BSB (BSB A108). The topics of discussion include “How to Build an MCAT Study Plan”, an MCAT Q&A session, and a raffle for a free Qbank! If you have any questions, email or Kaplan student representative, Caleb Tamminga.

General Meeting #3

  • Our speaker for this general meeting is Dr. Andy J. Redmond, a neurosurgeon, practicing in Tyler, TX! The GM will be held in BSB D110 from 7:30-8:30pm on October 12th.

Mamaka Profit Share!!!

  • We will be hosting a fundraiser all day at Mamaka on 10/13! Bring friends and make sure to mention AED at checkout so the proceeds go to the correct place! This profit share will assist AED in having amazing events! If you have questions, please email danielle_colapietro1@baylor.edu.

Mission Trip Interest Meeting 

  • We will have our mission trip interest meeting on Thursday 10/13 from 5:30-6:30pm in the BSB (A107). Here you will receive more information about our plan and ask questions!

Spring Valley Elementary Festival LSE

  • This LSE is a Fall Festival for pre-K - 5th graders! Spring Valley Elementary needs people to help set-up the event in the morning, manage some of the games/activities during the festival, and help pick-up after the event. Various shifts are available from 8am to 5pm on Saturday, October 15th and you can sign up HERE 

  • Also, fill out this FORM if you are attending!

Ironman Waco LSE 

  • Full-distance and half-distance triathlon races will take place in Waco on 10/15 and 10/16. This competition is a fantastic world-class race, and it would be great to have AED volunteers there. Volunteers are needed in different areas, including medical tents and gear bag drops. If you’re interested, please do the following: 

  • You will be contacted by the organization as the event approaches with more details! 

Mission Trip Shirt Contest

  • We are looking for creative designs for our Mission Trip shirt fundraiser. You can upload yours HERE and all AED members will be able to vote for their favorite one. The winner gets a special PRIZE! 

  • *The shirt cannot have the name of Baylor university on it & needs to be related to the mission trip*. 

More Than Pink Walk 2022 LSE

  • This is an event to celebrate breast cancer survivors and support those currently living with it. The walk will take place on October 30th at 8:30am, and the distance is approximately 1 mile! 

  • Send a picture to Ariana_vera1@baylor.edu to receive a LSE credit

Transformation Waco Afterschool

  • If someone is interested in extra service/job opportunities, Transformation Waco Afterschool is still looking for math coaches for J.H. Hines Elementary.

    • Tuesdays - 3:30 to 5:15 - 2 slots open

    • Wednesdays - 3:30 - 5:15 - 1 slot open

    • Fridays - 3:30 - 5:15 - 2 slots open
