Event Recap: Late Night and Looking Forward

This semester, AED has a full schedule of fun planned for members! Late Night started off as a great introduction to everything that AED has in store, and as we get ready to welcome the Fall 2021 New Member Class, we can’t wait to see where this semester will take us!

This year, Late Night was back in person, so AED was able to get the word out about our amazing organization. You may have also seen some familiar faces from AED leadership and other members hanging out near the entrance of the BSB telling students what our organization is all about. With the school year starting up again, AED is excited to grow and continue providing pre-professional students with opportunities in one of the most academically rigorous and by far the most fun student organization of its kind!

With all of this outreach, AED is now in the process of selecting the New Member Class for this semester. As applications have already closed, the interview process is now beginning! If you want to help out with this process, make sure to see the email that was sent with the sign-up sheet or reach out to Bella and Elkan with any questions. Some of AED’s best events are put on by the New Member class and we can’t wait to welcome new students into the AED family!

To welcome back returning members, AED also hosted its first social of the year with Game Night! With Catan and fun card games, members were able to hang out and have fun before the school year kicked into full gear. Socials are a great place to meet other AED members, get to know AED leadership, and take a break from school. This year, AED has lots of socials, both on and on campus, where lifelong friends and good memories can be made!

AED members also jumped at the opportunity to serve the Waco community again. With our first Large Service Event with Shepherds Heart, more people signed up than we had room for! It just goes to show how much AED members are committed to service and how eager they are to participate in these events! We will be having many more awesome Large Service Events for members to attend throughout the semester so that AED can make a lasting impact on our local community through volunteering.

In the first two weeks of school, all this fun has already happened, so you can be sure that the rest of the semester is going to be a blast! Keep an eye out for our upcoming Pancake Social on September 8th and the first General Meeting on September 15th. We can’t wait to see everyone there!
