Paint by Numbers Social

  • Our Paint by Numbers Social will be held on Monday 2/27 from 7:30-9:00pm in the SUB Fentress Room! We will have mini Paint by Numbers kits so you can take your canvas home with you after the social. Please fill out this form if you’re interested so we can order the correct amount!

General Meeting #3

New Member Auction

  • Our New Member Auction is here! Join us on Thursday 3/2 from 6-8pm in the SUB Gregory room (far end of 2nd floor). The theme is GREAT GATSBY and dinner will be Shorty’s Pizza!! Get ready to bid on some exciting items organized by our spring new member cohort! This event will count toward a new member social credit. 

Service Opportunities


Large Service Events 

  • Bearathon & Sic 'Em 6K Volunteers - LSE

  • The Bearathon is looking for volunteers to help and cheer in the half-marathon and 6K! If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this FORM and follow the instructions for registration! 

  • Volunteer registration closes March 11th

  • Walk for Down Syndrome LSE

  • This is a walk to promote acceptance and inclusion! Families and friends whose lives have been touched by Down syndrome will join members of our community in helping to raise awareness concerning the abilities people with Down syndrome possess.

  • *As of right now, we only need to know if you're interested in participating as a volunteer. The president of the organization will contact all volunteers to provide more information about the tasks and any other important details.

AED Run Club

  • Our newest recurring social will be weekly outdoor runs with our run club! This is a great opportunity if you are training for the Bearathon or just wanting to make some new friends in AED. If you are interested, please join our groupme where weekly updates and runs will be sent out!

AED Foodie Series

  • Another recurring social this semester will be our foodie series! We will begin to hold 1 lunch and dinner each month. If you have any recommendations for your favorite places to eat in Waco, please fill out this google form. We will have information about our first lunch/dinner at the general meeting on Wednesday!

Dues

  • Please Venmo @BaylorAED to pay your semester dues. 

    • General Members:

      • $25 if paid by GM 3 (3/1)

      • $35 after GM 3

    • New Members

      • $100 total ($75 national & $25 chapter) by Induction (3/14)

Thrift Store Donations Needed! Earn a Large Service Credit!

We are having a thrift store this semester towards the end of March to fundraise for our mission trip and AED!! Currently, Kate and Danielle are collecting donations so please contact them with your donations or if you have any questions! If you donate 5 items, you can earn 1 Large Service Credit! This will be a campus wide event and anyone can donate so please encourage your friends to donate!

EMT Opportunity!

If you are an EMT-B and looking for a unique volunteer experience, this is for you! Also, if interested in learning more about becoming EMT certified, email Justin Lawson, the program director for MCC's Accelerated EMT program here in Waco (Jlawson@mclennan.edu). This program will be 11 weeks in the summer.
