Service

Habitat for Humanity LSE

AED will be volunteering at Habitat for Humanity’s “Restore” this upcoming Saturday (12/2) from 9-12PM. We will be organizing, cleaning, and supporting supplies. Please fill out this LINK by Friday if you plan on coming!

Loaves of Love

The last Loaves of Love of the semester is meeting this Friday at 5PM at the Earle Classroom. All AED members can use this as weekly service credit or an LSE.

Weekly Service Credit - Thrift Store Donations

The Thrift Store is being moved until next semester, and we will be accepting donations until then. However if you want the opportunity to earn weekly service hours that will count for this semester–please bring your items to the General Meeting this Wednesday. If you can’t make the meeting, please reach out to me or an exec member by the last day of classes. Every 4 items (shirts, shorts, pants, jewelry, etc.) counts for 1 hour of weekly service. Each jacket or pair of gently used shoes also counts for 1 hour of weekly service. You can earn a maximum of 5 weekly hours from this. :)

Supplies for Clinic in the Dominican Republic (Pay-For-Credit LSE)

Bring 1-2 supplies to the last General Meeting (11/29) of the semester or reach out to Lexi or Annie & Yuki to drop off items by the last day of classes (12/6). These supplies will directly benefit the Mission Trip as these are the supplies that the clinic is short on!

Other Service Updates

  • Just a reminder: if you have extra scholarship credits at the end of the semester, you can use one of these if you are short on weekly service hours, but scholarship credits can not be used towards your 3 required Large Service Events.

    • If you have any questions/concerns about weekly service please reach out to Lexi (lexi_haviland1@baylor.edu) or your service chair!
